    Good day

    Greetings,

My name's Jordan, I'm a graphic & web designer based out of Canada. As a side-service I've offered web hosting options to my clients for a number of years, but finding reliable and simple software to accomplish the task efficiently and effectively has always been a genuine nightmare.

I had never really thought of searching for open-source hosting panels before but other common options such as cPanel, WHMCS, Plesk and clientexec haven't proven to be worth the monetary expense.

With all of that in mind I stumbled upon zPanel and as of thus far am quite impressed by its appearance and simplicity. I haven't yet tested out its capabilities, but plan to do so via virtual environment.

I'll be around to find out more about what zPanel and its modules have to offer, as well as to provide feedback and attempt to be a part of the developing community. I thought it only appropriate to first introduce myself.

    Cheers

    Hey Pal,

    Glad you like ZPanel!

Did you look at the demo we have up? If so that is ZP6 and the new current version is ZPanelX
ZPanelX is FAR more advanced with its own API, System Hooks, DNS Standard, Object Orgin code, New even better template, Custom Tags, etc, etc!

So ye have a look around and cant wait to see what modules you have planed to come

Also check out the ZPlanet it has tones of information to help you http://planet.zpanelcp.com/doku.php
Especially the module page of it http://planet.zpanelcp.com/doku.php?..._help:zpanel_x
The planet is constancy being added to so pop in there every now and again is what i recommend

    Cheers

    Re: Good day

I did in fact try the demo out, it's one of the first things anyone should do. From what I saw of its functionality things are quite solid, but did have a few thoughts in regards to things which could possibly be added to improve user experience. I'm sure most of those have probably already been addressed with zPanelx and it would be sweet to see the new demo version put up for others to try.

I've never been much of a programmer or developer, the visual side of things are more my strength, but I'm not against trying.

Will do! I look forward to trying the new release out.

    Welcome to ZPanel,

I'll set you up a temporary account on my Windows based ZPanelX as a reseller so you can check it out, some options wont be available as it is being used in production and won't give you full admin acces... but it will give you a better idea of what ZPX has to offer... You should receive a welcome email at your gmail account with login details once I create the account

It may seem 'slow' but that is due to my current server having an AMD processor and not an Intel... (Works much faster on my Intel test server)

That is extremely nice of you, I won't be getting my virtual server set up until tomorrow, so this is appreciated.

Hey now, I happen to be an AMD fan boy, haha. Mostly due to the fact they're far less expensive and do all that I need.
But as far as being used for servers, I can understand what you mean.

All sites run just fine, very fast, it's just ZPanelX's new coding is too fast for it and confuses it :P

My pleasure. To be honest I tend to travel a lot - the last two years I was living in British Columbia, but this is where I'm from. Most of my family actually lives in the Ottawa area. ^^ I've had some problems with the install of zPanelx on my VM, but I'll post a more detailed summary in the support area.
